CROCKETT & CO.
CROCKETT & CO.

Loving these new portraits of Buffalo, NY barber David Brugh of Crockett & Co. My favorite barbershop in town (yes... I'm aware I have no hair, but this beard needs some help to look this good) has moved out of the old storefront it was occupying and into its impressive new digs at The Monocle — A newly renovated space on Hertel Ave with a unique boutique retail concept that Houses Crockett and Co, A cafe, and a few other commercial businesses.
I was honored to get to make some editorial portraits of David there not long after the shop re-opened. The interior is terrific; the most incredible barber shop I've ever seen. However, when furniture retailer ROOM Buffalo and Interior design firm Michael P Design share your building, it comes with the territory. I'm obsessed with the wallpaper and the wood/gold bench in the shop's main cutting area that David is sitting on in the image above. The shop is fronted by Crockett & Co SUPPLY, which sells various grooming products, gifts, lifestyle goods, and men's accessories. The Monocle is interesting in its design, as all the businesses flow into one another. Crockett & Co blends seamlessly into the cafe and parts of ROOM Buffalo — giving the space a fun flow.
